On September 13th, we held our Multicultural Playgroup session on a cool day that felt like autumn. Families from different countries got together at the venue in Popola. While the kids played, parents relaxed and talked. We started our session with simple self-introductions in English. Then, we sang the song “Dragonfly’s Glasses” with the piano. Next, we did some yoga poses to welcome autumn. After that, we read a book called “What Can Pinky Hear?” and discovered some surprising sounds. We learned the words “acorn” and “leaves” in different languages for a fun game. We raced to find as many (paper) acorns and colored leaves as we could. Then, we decorated maracas made from small bottles and rice. These maracas were perfect to play and dance to the song “Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star” in Japanese, English, and Spanish.Join us for our next Multicultural Playgroup in October!

9月(がつ）13日（にち）、秋（あき）の涼（すず）しさが感（かん）じられる日（ひ）、多文化（たぶんか）プレイグループの会（かい）をしました。ポポラの会場（かいじょう）にさまざまな国（くに）から家族（かぞく）が集（あつ）まりました。子（こ）どもたちが遊（あそ）ぶ間（ま）、保護者（しょうがいしゃ）はリラックスしておしゃべりを楽（たの）しんでいました。まずはかんたんな英語（えいご）での自己紹介（じこしょうかい）からスタート。次（つぎ）にピアノに合（あ）わせて「トンボのめがね」を歌（うた）いました。その後（あと）、秋（あき）をテーマにしたヨガをしました。絵本（えほん）『ピンキーは何（なに）が聞（き）こえる？』を読（よ）んで、おもしろい音（おと）を確認（かくにん）しました。ゲームをしながら「どんぐり」や「葉（は）っぱ」をいろいろな国（くに）の言葉（ことば）で言（い）いました。紙（かみ）で作（つく）ったどんぐりや色（いろ）づいた葉（は）っぱをできるだけ多（おお）く探（さが）す競争（きょうそう）をしました。その後（あと）、小（ちい）さな容器（ようき）と米（こめ）で作（つく）ったマラカスにシールで飾（かざ）りをつけました。このマラカスは日本語（にほんご）、英語（えいご）、スペイン語（ご）で歌（うた）う「きらきら星（ぼし）」に合（あ）わせて演奏（えんそう）して、踊（おど）るのにぴったりでした。
