Thank you so much for joining our Multilingual Storytime on November 19th. We welcomed our cultural ambassadors (storytellers) from Vietnam, Singapore, and Latvia! At the beginning of the session,12 children got their passports and traveled to Vietnam first. We all listened to a Vietnamese story of Legend of the Rice Cakes in Vietnamese and played a Vietnam Flag Game. After Vietnam, we traveled to Singapore, and our Chinese Singaporean ambassador read the book Color Monster in Chinese. We also enjoyed the Zero Point, the rubber band jumping game. Then children headed to our final destination, Latvia. Children listened to the Under the Mushroom story in Latvian, and finally, the Latvian clown showed up and performed the pantomime show! The clown didn’t speak any specific language, but we understood by his facial expression, sounds, and gestures he made. It was such a great time that we had non-verbal communication with a clown. 11月19日の多言語おはなし会にご参加いただきありがとうございました。ベトナム、シンガポール、ラトビアの文化大使（読み手）をお迎えしました！最初に12人の子どもたちがパスポートを手に、まずはベトナムへ。ベトナム語でお餅の伝説の話を聞き、ベトナム国旗ゲームをしました。ベトナムの後はシンガポールに移動して、中国系シンガポール人の大使が「カラーモンスター（我的情绪小怪兽）」を中国語で読んでくれました。また、ゼロポイントという輪ゴム跳びゲームも楽しみました。その後、子どもたちは最終目的地のラトビアに向かいました。子どもたちはラトビア語で「きのこの下で」のお話を聞き、最後にラトビアのピエロがパントマイムショーを披露してくれました！ピエロは特定の言語を話すわけではなかったけれど、彼の表情や音、身振り手振りで理解することができました。ピエロとノンバーバル・コミュニケーションができたことは、本当に素晴らしい時間でした。ブシアイさん、ありがとうございました！
