2023年12月3日にSCCの文化大使のダナが英語のおはなし会でクリスマスをテーマにした絵本の読み聞かせをしました。セッションはダナの国、ラトビアの紹介から始まりました。小さな子でも違う国の写真に興味津々でした。その後、参加者全員で歌を歌いながら自分の名前を紹介しました。ダナは、未就学児向けに「サンタさんへ」と「メリー・クリスマス・メイジー」、小学生向けに「サンタのトナカイ」の絵本を読みました。子どもたちが目を輝かせながら喜んでお話を聞いている姿を見て、私たちもうれしくなりました。このような機会を与えてくださった南大井図書館の皆様、ありがとうございました！

On December 3rd,2023 SCC cultural ambassador, Dana ran the English storytime and read some picture books themed Christmas. The session started with the introduction of Dana’s country, Latvia. Even the youngest children were curious about seeing the photos of different country. All those who attended then introduced their names by singing a song together. Dana read books ‘Dear Santa‘ and‘ Merry Christmas Maisy‘ for preschoolers and ‘ Santa’s Reindeer‘ for school age kids. We were delighted to see the children listening happily with their eyes shining.
