Today marked the first Creative Mondays of 2025, and it was a wonderful start to the year! We made a “Felt Rafflesia“ and embroidered on it. The picture book about rafflesia, shared by an Indonesian creator, was absolutely beautiful, giving everyone a clear idea of this unique flower. Turning it into an artwork was such an exciting idea!

Everyone worked hard to learn embroidery but had so much fun chatting in between. The topics ranged from healthcare to breakfast menus—there was no limit to the conversation! To top it off, some members even sang during the session! Was it the relaxing atmosphere or simply the joy of being together? Either way, it filled SCC with gratitude to be part of such a vibrant community.

We’re looking forward to more art and craft gatherings filled with creativity, connection, and fun!

今日は2025年最初のクリエイティブ・マンデーズでした！私たちは「フェルトのラフレシア」を作り、それに刺繍をしました。インドネシア出身のクリエイターが教えてくれたラフレシアの花の絵本はとても美しく、このユニークな花についてみんなにわかりやすく教えてくれました。その花を作品にするというのは、とてもわくわくするアイデアでした！

みんな刺繍を学ぶためにがんばっていましたが、その合間のおしゃべりはとても楽しかったです。話題は健康のことから朝食の献立までさまざまで、話は尽きませんでした！さらに、セッション中に歌を歌い出す参加者も！リラックスした雰囲気のせいなのか、ただにいっしょにいることが楽しかったのか。どちらにしても、このような活気あるコミュニティの一員であることにSCCは感謝の気持ちでいっぱいになりました。
