3月（がつ）27日（にち）に横浜市立都筑図書館（よこはましりつつづきとしょかん）で英語（えいご）、タイ語（ご）、ヒンディー語（ご）の多言語（たげんご)おはなし会(かい）をしました。子（こ）どもたちが全員（ぜんいん）集（あつ）まるまで、”All Are Welcome”の絵本（えほん）を見（み）ながら、日本（にほん）の学校（がっこう）とアメリカの学校（がっこう）の教室（きょうしつ）の様子（ようす）の違（ちが）いを探（さが）しあいました。そのあと、タイ、インド、カナダ出身（しゅっしん）のメンバーが自分（じぶん）の国（くに）の言葉（ことば）であいさつをしました。最初（さいしょ）に”三匹（さんびき）のこぶた”の話（はなし）をタイ語（ご）で聞（き）いた後（あと）、タイのダンスをしました。次に “All Kinds of People”の話（はなし）を英語（えいご）で聞（き）きました。いろいろな肌（はだ）の人（ひと）がいることが写真（しゃしん）からわかりました。そして、カナダ出身（しゅっしん）のメンバーが子（こ）どもの頃（ころ）によく学校（がっこう）でやっていたStella Ella Olla の遊（あそ）びをしました。偶然（ぐうぜん）にも3月（がつ）にナイジェリアのメンバーが川崎愛児園（かわさきあいじえん）で紹介（しょうかい）した”Cindellera in Yellow”と同（おな）じルールの遊（あそ）びでした。最後（さいご）に、インドの“The Rabbits in the Moon”の話（はなし）をヒンディー語（ご）で聞（き）き、インドのボリウッドダンスをしました。額（がく）にビンディのシールを貼（は）って、子（こ）どもも大人（おとな）もみんなで楽（たの）しく踊（おど）りました。

On March 27, we had a multilingual storytime at the Yokohama Tsuzuki Library, where we got to enjoy stories in English, Thai, and Hindi! We kicked things off with the picture book “All Are Welcome” as we waited for all the kids to arrive. It was so much fun to compare Japanese school classrooms with those in America! Once everyone was there, our members from Thailand, India, and Canada greeted the kids in their own languages, which was so special! We started our storytelling adventure with “The Three Little Pigs” in Thai, and then everyone got to enjoy a lively Thai dance. Next, we shared “All Kinds of People” in English, celebrating the beautiful diversity in our world with all sorts of skin tones. After the stories, we played Stella Ella Olla, a fun game that our Canadian member used to love as a child. It was a delightful surprise that it was similar to “Cinderella in Yellow,” which a member from Nigeria introduced at the Kawasaki Aijien in March! To wrap things up, we listened to “The Rabbits in the Moon” in Hindi and had a blast dancing to a Bollywood routine. Both the kids and adults had so much fun, especially with the bindi stickers we got to wear on our foreheads!
