5月（がつ）４日（にち）に横浜市立山内図書館（よこはましりつやまうちとしょかん）で英語（えいご）のおはなし会（かい）をしました。テーマは、花（はな）、植物（しょくぶつ）です。2027年（ねん）に横浜（よこはま）でGreen Expo 2027が始（はじ）まるので、スタッフと話（はなし）をして、本（ほん）を選（えら）びました。

最初（さいしょ）に、りさが「お花（はな）が咲（さ）いた」のパネルシアターをして、みんなで英語（えいご）で歌（うた）いました。次（つぎ）にエレナが「はるがきた！いいものいくつ？」の絵本（えほん）を英語（えいご）で読（よ）みました。そして、きれいな花（はな）と蝶々（ちょうちょ）の絵（え）がすてきな絵本（えほん）”Waiting for Wings”を読（よ）みました。

そのあと、みんなで色（いろ）さがしのゲームをしました。こどもたちは、りさが言（い）った色（いろ）をよく聞（き）いて、同（おな）じ色（いろ）の本（ほん）を探（さが）しました。最後（さいご）に、「大（おお）きなかぶ」の話（はなし）を英語（えいご）で聞（き）きました。こどもたちもつながって、お話（はなし）と同（おな）じように体（からだ）をひっぱって楽（たの）しそうでした。最後（さいご）に、みんなで輪（わ）になって、Ring-Around-O’Rosesの歌（うた）をうたいました。

“おはながわらった”という歌（うた）を聞（き）いたことはありますか？日本（にほん）の保育園（ほいくえん）で春（はる）に歌（うた）います。山内図書館（やまうちとしょかん）のえいごのおはなし会（かい）で、この歌（うた）をパネルシアターを使（つか）って英語（えいご）で歌（うた）いました。英語（えいご）の歌詞（かし）は、My Eigo Worldさんのブログの歌詞（かし）を使（つか）いました。

On May 4, we had a wonderful time at the Yamauchi Library for our English storytime! The theme was flowers and plants, and we talked with the staff about the Green Expo 2027, which will be held in Yokohama in 2027, and chose books related to the theme.First, Risa did a fun panel theater performance of “Ohana ga Saita (Flowers are Blooming),” and everyone joined in to sing along in English.Next, Elena read “Spring has Come! How Many Good Things?” and ”Waiting for Wings,” a beautiful picture book filled with stunning illustrations of flowers and butterflies. After the stories, we played an engaging color matching game. The kids listened attentively to Risa and scrambled to find books that matched the colors she called out—it was so much fun! To wrap up our time together, we enjoyed the story of “The Gigantic Turnip.” The children lined up just like in the story and had a blast mimicking the characters as they pulled together. We finished up by forming a big circle and singing “Ring-Around-O’Roses,” which was a delightful way to end our session.
