クリエイティブ・マンデーズ・メンバーのアルマを紹介します！
私の名前はアルマ、スウェーデン出身です。2022年5月から日本に住んでいて、現在は修士課程に在籍中です。
好奇心旺盛で、人とのつながりを楽しむのが好きです。自由な時間には映画を見たり、美術館を訪れたりするのが好きで、子どもの頃は絵を描いたり工作をしたりするのが好きでした。高校では、芸術コースで絵を描いたり美術史を勉強したりしました。しかし、大学に入ってからはアート活動はしていませんでした。
クリエイティブ・マンデーズに参加した理由は2つあります： 1つ目は、外国出身者とアート活動について研究している私の修士論文に関連しているからです。そのような活動を探しているときに、クリエイティブ・マンデーズを見つけました！２つ目は、日本での生活は孤独になりがちです。私は学業とは別に、自分のクリエイティビティと再びつながりたかったからです。
クリエイティブ・マンデーズでは、他の外国人と出会い、彼らの日本での経験について学ぶことができます。私が最も気に入っているのは、参加者のほとんどが初心者で、プレッシャーのないくつろげる雰囲気です。特に水彩画のアクティビティを楽しんでいます。私にとってクリエイティブ・マンデーズは、スウェーデン語でコミュニティや一体感を意味する「gemenskap」を表しています。つながり、創造性、共有体験のための有意義な機会になっています。私は他の人たちとの交流を求めている人たちにクリエイティブ・マンデーズを強く勧めます。

Meet Alma, our Creative Monday member! She will share her experiences with Creative Mondays from the Sharing Caring Culture. My name is Alma, and I’m from Sweden. I’ve been living in Japan since May 2022, currently pursuing my master’s degree.
I would describe myself as curious and enjoy connecting with others. In my free time, I love watching movies, visiting museums, and, as a child, I enjoyed drawing and crafts. In high school, I took an arts-focused course and began painting and studying art history. However, I hadn’t engaged in any art activities since starting university.
I joined Creative Mondays for two reasons: First, it’s relevant to my graduation thesis, which explores migrant support and art activities. While looking for such activities, I found Creative Mondays! Second, living in Japan can be lonely. I wanted to reconnect with my creativity, distinct from my academic work.
Creative Mondays allow me to meet other internationals and learn about their experiences in Japan. What I love most is that most participants are beginners, creating a relaxed, pressure-free environment. I especially enjoy the watercolor activities, inspired by my passion for drawing. For me, Creative Mondays embody the Swedish word “gemenskap,” meaning community or togetherness. They offer a meaningful opportunity for connection, creativity, and shared experiences. I highly recommend Creative Mondays to anyone looking to engage with others.
