Multilingual Storytime: Storytellers from Costa Rica, Malaysia and Nigeria 多言語お話会: ナイジェリア・コスタリカ・マレーシア

A big thank you to everyone who joined us on our Multilingual Storytime on 24th September. This time, the storytellers brought us to Costa Rica, Nigeria, and Malaysia. We learned about their country’s flag, its location on the map, and its unique culture.
Firstly from Costa Rica, we listened to the story of The Peanut Doll, who encounters different animals and objects that make unique sounds during his adventures.
Next, the Nigeria story named Am I Small? Tamia’s self-discovery about her size. She ventures out to ask the animals about her size, only to be told different answers.

Lastly a story from Malaysia, My Cute Family tells the tale of Mimi’s family who would transform into different animals to cheer her up whenever she’s sad.
After the stories, we had activities like a goldfish origami session, guessing animal sounds, and singing and dancing along to a Nigerian song, a popular Japanese Kindergarten song.
We really enjoyed ourselves and hope you did too. Come join us in October for more international culture immersion through stories and fun activities. See you!
