On August 26th, we hosted a super fun firework-themed paint play session using toilet paper cores. We kicked things off by reading a picture book called “Penchan no hanabi” (Penchan’s Fireworks)to get everyone in the mood for creating awesome fireworks.

The kids had a blast mixing paints, although some of them ended up with darker colors after mixing them all! At the end, each of them proudly presented the kind of fireworks they had drawn.

8月（がつ）26日（にち）のクリエイティブ・マンデーズは、花火（はなび）をテーマにトイレットペーパーの芯（しん）を使（つか）って、絵（え）の具（ぐ）遊（あそ）びをしました。最初（さいしょ）に「ペンちゃんのはなび」という絵本（えほん）を読（よ）んで、花火（はなび）のイメージを膨（ふく）らませました。みんな絵（え）の具（ぐ）を混（ま）ぜるのが好（す）きで、全部（ぜんぶ）の色（いろ）を混ぜたら暗（くら）い色（いろ）になった子（こ）どももいました。最後（さいご）にそれぞれ、どんな花火（はなび）を描（か）いたかを発表（はっぴょう）しました。
