インドとインドネシアのSCCメンバーの二人が幼稚園教諭や保育士を目指す東洋大学の学生に向けて日本での子育てについて講話をしました。インド人のメンバーは、新型コロナウィルスが大流行した日本で、日本語のわかるインド人の夫以外の助けを借りずに妊娠・出産した経験を話しました。また、子どもを連れて遊び場に行くと、子どもたちは言葉の壁など関係なく一緒に遊ぶけれど、自分は孤独な気持ちで、黙って座っていたと話していました。インドネシア人のメンバーは、ダイバーシティの観点から子育てについて話をしました。外国出身の保護者とコミュニケーションをとるためには、先生が多様性、公平性、インクルージョンの考え方を持つことが大切だと言いました。また、完璧な語学力は必要ないと強調しました。やさしい日本語ややさしい英語を話したり、絵を描いたり（写真を見せたり）するだけでもコミュニケーションはうまくいきます。今回の講義が外国人家族の子育ての問題や悩みを理解する一助になれば幸いです。

Two SCC members from India and Indonesia lectured on parenting life in Japan for Toyo University students who want to be kindergarten or nursery teachers. The Indian member shared her experience of being pregnant and delivering a baby in Japan during the COVID-19 pandemic without any help except from her Indian husband, who understands Japanese. Also, she said that when she went out to the play area with her child, the children played together regardless of the language barrier, but she felt alone and sat quietly.The Indonesian member lectured on parenting in terms of diversity and presented how important having a diversity, equity, and inclusion mindset for the teachers to communicate with international parents. She also emphasized that perfect language skill is not required. Just speaking easy Japanese and English or drawing a picture (showing the photo) works well for communication. We hope this lecture helps students understand the problems and concerns of international families’ parenting.
