また、ニューサウスウェールズ州立図書館（しゅうりつとしょかん）は、地域図書館（ちいきとしょかん）が文化的（ぶんかてき）・言語的（げんごてき）に多様（たよう）な（CALD）コミュニティに対（たい）して多文化（たぶんか）サービスを提供（ていきょう）できるよう、さまざまなサービスやリソースを提供（ていきょう）しています。

州立図書館（しゅうりつとしょかん）は43言語（げんご）の図書（としょ）を所蔵（しょぞう）し、地域図書館（ちいきとしょかん）が利用者（りようしゃ）に代（か）わって借（か）りることができます。この多文化一括貸出（たぶんかいっかつかしだし）サービスは1974年（ねん）に導入（どうにゅう）されて以来（いらい）、州立図書館（しゅうりつとしょかん）は多文化（たぶんか）で構成（こうせい）される地域（ちいき）の人（ひと）たちの言語（げんご）の図書（としょかん）や学習教材（がくしゅうきょうざい）を提供（ていきょう）してきました。英語（えいご）の習得（しゅうとく）ばかりではなく、多言語（たげんご）・多文化（たぶんか）の子（こ）どもたちがそれぞれの母語（ぼこくご）を保持（ほじ）することにも力（ちから）を入（い）れています。

The Children’s Library, located within the State Library of New South Wales, offers an impressive collection of children’s books in 43 languages, designed for ages 0 to 16. This collection includes books specifically for children that celebrate Aboriginal culture. A pillar in the library displays the word “Welcome” in 60 different languages, emphasizing that everyone is welcome as part of the community.

In addition, the State Library of New South Wales offers services to support regional libraries in providing multicultural services to the culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) community.

The State Library offers books in 43 community languages that regional libraries can borrow on behalf of their users. Since this multicultural bulk loan service was launched in 1974, the State Library has provided books and educational materials in various regional languages. The library aims not only to facilitate English language acquisition but also to support multilingual and multicultural children in retaining their native languages.
