Three SCC international members attended the session and shared their concerns and experiences regarding parenting in Japan.

The Indian speaker shared that she has no idea about what to bring to school exactly and sometimes has confusion. Therefore,

she suggested that the teacher know that drawing a picture of the needed items for school activities will work instead of writing a word. We hope university students have gained a perspective on effective communication with people from abroad.

SCCでは、2019年より東洋大学（生活支援学科）と連携し、未来の保育士を対象に、外国人家族の子育てを知って、学ぶ機会を提供しています。SCCの外国人メンバー3名が参加し、日本での子育ての悩みや体験談を話してくれました。インド人のゲストスピーカーは、学校に何を持っていけばいいのか具体的にわからず、戸惑うことがあると話していました。そのため、学校行事に必要なものを文字で書くのではなく、絵で描くと効果的であることを先生に知ってもらうよう提案しています。大学生の皆さんには、海外の方と効果的にコミュニケーションをとるための視点を得ていただけたのではないでしょうか。
